A trip for Lydia to Malad is not complete without making a stop to take a look at the house where Grandma Thomas lived. There will always be memories of chocolate cake, each layer secured with toothpicks; family dinners, everyone walking about while grandkids play in the garage; and the fridge, stocked with tiny bowls of jell-o and puddings and cake.
