Goin' Swimmin'

Jack spent time with Tommy and Anna in the morning before we did lunch at Garcia's. As soon as Kristin mentioned having Tommy and Anna experience their pool, it was immediately on the dance card.

Grandma and Lydia and Kristin watch the kids enjoy the water from a shady spot.

While in pre-school, Jack's teacher and two aides wanted to know who Tommy was. As soon as I said that Jack and Tommy were first cousins, they told me how Jack had said they were best buddies.
The two boys have spent a lot of fun times together, whether in Minnesota, in California or in Idaho, and just being able to enjoy each other's company--especially when it involves Star Wars light saber battles or playing with space ships is key to a great day.

Anna enjoyed it too. The first sign for me of her ultimate satisfaction is my finding a good-sized rock in the house, not just a small pebble but one of those fist-filling flat attention getters that you looked for to skip across the face of a quiet pond when you were young.

Or she finds a small bouquet of blossums for grandma.

As soon as Tommy and Anna walked in the door, Anna found me and began telling me about their swimming adventures.
