Dr. Leslie

This was a great day. I remember how excited Cles was, and it was fun to meet all who learned to love him like we do--Leslie's family and those he served with in the army. The weather was ideal in Augusta, and everything was so beautiful.

From a selfish standpoint, it is fun to have a daughter-in-law with a connection to the South. The visits there are great for the food, for the peaceful landscapes, for the chance to see North Carolina Blue. And most importantly, it is fun just to hear her say pecan pie.

I will always remember the visit we had in Chapel Hill the first time. We returned from a restaurant, and fire flies were abuzz. Jack was excited. He loves Disney movies, especially Peter Pan. When he saw the first one, he thought it was Tinkerbell. He kept saying "Tink." Leslie caught one in her hands. Shook them and let it loose, all aglow.

Any time we are at Disneyland and we ride the Pirates ride, I remind Jack of fire flies and Aunt Leslie.
